7th Sunday in Ordinary Time: Today's reading for the 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time teaches us about mercy, forgiveness, and love. It calls us to choose mercy over vengeance and to extend love even to our enemies. May we embrace this radical love with wisdom and grace.
Lenten Pilgrimages: As part of our Lenten preparations, we undertake annual pilgrimages to various holy sites. This Lent, we have planned three such journeys. The first pilgrimage is scheduled for Saturday, March 15th and will include visits to two churches designated as Pilgrim Churches for the Jubilee Year: St. Michael's Mahim and Mount Mary. This is also an opportunity to receive the special indulgences available for visiting these churches. Additionally, we will tour the newly inaugurated exhibition centre, Parnam Maria. Please secure your seat by registering with Ms. Freda in the KG office at your earliest convenience, as spaces are limited.
European Pilgrimage: In collaboration with Purple Orchid, we are planning a pilgrimage to religious destinations in Europe. Those interested in learning more or joining this journey are invited to contact Fr. Merwyn.
Jubilee Celebrations in Rome: In this Jubilee Year, we aim to send four dedicated parish youth to the celebrations in Rome. The parish will cover 50% of the expenses. Parishioners who wish to support this endeavour through sponsorship are encouraged to contact Brother William or Fr. Nigel.
Women’s Day Celebration: Our parish will celebrate Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8th, with a special Eucharistic celebration followed by a social gathering and dinner. Please register with your zonal coordinators as soon as possible. The registration fee is Rs. 50 per person.
International Women’s Day: The Archdiocese of Bombay will celebrate International Women’s Day on March 9th, starting at 9:30 AM at St. Pius Seminary. This year’s theme is “For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, and Empowerment.” Those interested should register with the parish office by Tuesday, February 25th. The registration fee is Rs. 100 per person.
Jubilee Year Events: In celebration of the Jubilee Year, the Women's Commission of the Archdiocese of Bombay will organize a series of events throughout March. Please check the notice board for further details.
Message from Ms. Sruti: Following the announcements, Ms Sruti, who has been on the road to recovery with the support of our parish, wishes to express her heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the community. After completing her treatment, she will return to her village later this week.
