1. Today, the Church celebrates the Second Sunday in Ordinary Time, observed as Vocation Sunday in our Archdiocese. The Gospel reading, which recounts the Wedding Feast at Cana, offers a profound reminder: we must first empty ourselves of negativity and all that hinders us so that God may fill our hearts with His abundant grace.

2. The parish visitation has been completed. If any families were unavailable during the scheduled visits and would like us to visit their homes, please inform your Parish Council members. We will be happy to arrange a visit and spend time in prayer with your family.

3. On Sunday, 26th January, we celebrate Republic Day. The national flag will be hoisted after the 7 am mass. We also celebrate this Sunday as the Word of God Sunday. The Bible will be enthroned at the 8:30 am mass. After the 10 am mass, we will be having a bible quiz on the 4 Gospels. Each zone needs to put up a team of 3 members.

4. Sunday, 2nd February, is the feast of the Presentation. The Presentation of the Lord is also known as Candlemas day, since the blessing and procession of candles is a part of the liturgy. Christ is the light of the nations, the ‘light of the world,’ as well as, in the words of Simeon, ‘the light to enlighten the Gentiles,’ hence the blessing of candles is on this day. The blessing of Candles will be at the 7 am mass and will begin at the church entrance. It is a common practice for the faithful to to take the candles home and light them when they need Christ’s intervention, such as in times of illness or difficulties. Please note this mass will be in English. The Konkani mass will be  celebrated on the 9th of February at 7 am

5. 2nd February is also the day of the religious, and we remember our sister of Charity of Nazareth in our prayers.

6. Monday, 3rd February, is the feast of St. Blaise and the Blessings of the Throats. The blessing of throats of those who desire it will be after the 7 am and 7 pm masses.

7.  The collection on Sunday, 12th January, was Rs. 44870/ - We thank you for your generosity.
