1. We pray that like the disciples in today’s gospel, our hearts will recognize the Eucharistic lord as he breaks bread and his word to us. May our hearts burn with faith as we strive to make his name known
2. Those who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2025 are requested to register their names at the Parish Office along with a copy of their Baptism certificate. Anyone who has completed the 10th standard board examination or is above 15 is eligible. The last date for registering is 2nd June 2024. Classes will commence from 16th June 2024.
3. The preparatory novena service for the feast of the Holy Cross will be held at the Holy Cross oratory in Matharpacady village from Monday22nd April 2024, the novena will be held daily at 7.30 pm. All are welcome.
4. Novenas at the Holy Cross, D'lima Street opposite Bachoowalla building begins on 24th April at 7.45 pm and on Saturday at 8.00 pm. The Feast Day celebration is on 3rd May at 7.45 pm. All are welcome
5. The Novenas in preparation for the Cross feast at the Rear Helal building began on 24th April at 8 pm sharp. The Feast Mass is celebrated on 3rd May at 8 pm. All are invited.
6. Vimala Vikas Kendra invites all Parishioners to witness their Exhibition cum Annual Day. This event celebrates VVKs achievements, endeavours, and the impactful projects undertaken throughout the year. This will be on Sunday 21st April 2024 from 11:00 AM onwards (Programme followed by Exhibition stalls) at the Under Croft.
7. The Youth of the Parish are organising a 3-day Summer Camp for our Parish Children From 26th to 28th April. They have circulated a Google form requesting parents to kindly register their Children.
8. The Parish council will have a brief meeting on Wednesday 17th April after the evening Mass in the KG classroom. We request all the PPC members to be Present.
9. To ensure all Names are registered on the Electoral List for the upcoming Elections on 20th May, Members of BCS have organised a Help Desk on Saturday 13th April after the 7 pm evening mass and Sunday 14th April after the 8.30 am & 10 am. This desk is to help parishioners check, on their Voter ID Card registration and also to assist in checking if names appear in the Voter's List. Kindly avail of these facilities.
10. The Sunday collection on 7th April was Rs 33020/- The Lenten alms which goes towards the Archdiocesan Seminary was Rs 84000 in cheques and Rs 1,22,220 in cash making it a total of Rs206220, to date. There are additional Cheques given in the Name of Rosary Church for the Lenten Alms which we will update next week /-
The First Friday Collection was Rs.8340/- and the Box Collection was Rs. 14240/ We thank you for your generosity.
